The Sharks have won three in a row, most recently beating out the Anaheim Ducks in exciting, come from behind fashion last night. But the players need to turn the page quickly and get ready to host the Maple Leafs, who are on the second part of the California road trip.

The Leafs had an emotional win in Anaheim on Monday night, beating the Ducks 5-4 in a slug fest that saw Toronto trying to atone for the loss of Captain Auston Matthews. Max Domi beat up on Radko Gudas and then other Leafs players piled on. We’ll see if the Leafs come with the same emotion tonight or if it’s only the kind of feeling reserved for our friends in Southern California.

Toronto’s top scorer is William Nylander, who leads the team with 71 points. John Tavares has 28 goals to lead all Maple Leafs in goals.

Between the pipes, Joseph Woll is 15-14-6 with a .904 save percentage. Anthony Stolarz is 10-9-3 with a .894 save percentage. The difficulty for much of this season for the Maple Leads has been finding consistency in the net.

San Jose Sharks lines tonight

It sounds like today is a planned maintenance day for Ty Dellandrea given that he’s coming back from injury so he will sit out. Meantime, Igor Chernyshov is expected to be a game time decision depending on how he feels. If he’s not good to go, then it will likely be Philipp Kurashev getting to play in his place.

Alex Nedeljkovic starts since Yaroslav Askarov got the start last night.

Forwards
Igor Chernyshov — Macklin Celebrini — Will Smith
William Eklund — Alexander Wennberg — Kiefer Sherwood
Collin Graf — Michael Misa — Tyler Toffoli
Barclay Goodrow — Zack Ostapchuk — Adam Gaudette

Defense
Dmitry Orlov — Vincent Desharnais
Shakir Mukhamadullin — Mario Ferraro
Sam Dickinson — Nick Leddy

Goaltenders
Alex Nedeljkovic
Yaroslav Askarov

Toronto Maple Leafs lines vs. San Jose Sharks

SportsNet reports that Steven Lorentz will get to start against his old team in place of Michael Pezzetta.
