Patrik Allvin and Adam Foote are now staring at the kind of Vancouver summer that usually brings more than a roster tweak.<\/p>\n

The Canucks have locked in 32nd place, and there is nowhere left to hide what this season became. They now have the best draft lottery odds.<\/p>\n

The standings show Vancouver at 22-45-8 with 52 points and a -91 goal differential.<\/p>\n

That is not just a bad year. That is the worst spot in the league, and it changes the whole conversation around the rebuild.<\/p>\n

Now the question is not whether Vancouver needs player changes. That part is obvious.<\/p>\n

The real question is whether ownership lets the front office ride into another reset after a season this ugly.<\/p>\n

That is why Allvin’s future keeps coming up.<\/p>\n

Nick Kypreos reported that Allvin does not expect to survive past this season, which turns offseason chatter into a real management watch.<\/p>\n

The rebuild may not stop with the roster<\/p>\n

Around the league, the temperature has already changed. Toronto fired Brad Treliving on Monday, and Vegas fired Bruce Cassidy and replaced him with John Tortorella.<\/p>\n

That matters in Vancouver because it shows teams are not waiting around when a season goes off the rails.<\/p>\n

The Canucks were officially eliminated from playoff contention last week, and that only confirmed what the standings had been saying for months.<\/p>\n

So yes, a management move feels very much in play.<\/p>\n

If Allvin goes, the next layer gets tricky fast. A new general manager does not always want to inherit a coach he did not choose.<\/p>\n

That puts Foote in an awkward spot.<\/p>\n

Even if Vancouver still believes in him, the next hockey boss may want his own voice behind the bench and his own roadmap for the rebuild.<\/p>\n

That is what makes this summer so important.<\/p>\n

The Canucks are already rebuilding the roster. They may now have to decide whether the people running that rebuild are staying too.<\/p>\n
