Sabres season-ticket holders got a head start<\/a> on purchases for the NHL playoffs, and the response has \u201cbeen so strong\u201d that KeyBank Center \u201cwill be filled with Sabres fans,\u201d according to Lance Lysowski of the BUFFALO NEWS. The Sabres can geo-fence ticket sales to prevent purchases by out-of-town visiting fans, but it will not \u201cbe necessary.\u201d Sabres President of Business Operations Pete Guelli said there will be \u201cfew tickets\u201d publicly available, adding it is \u201chighly likely that most of the tickets for any potential game will be in the hands of our season ticket holders.\u201d Thus far, the fallout at RSNs has \u201cnot reached the Sabres.\u201d They have a multiyear agreement with MSG<\/a> and, among U.S.-based NHL teams, Buffalo \u201ctops local TV ratings.\u201d Guelli: \u201cWe\u2019re No. 1 in local ratings right now, so everybody is happy with how it\u2019s performing. \u2026 Things are going really well with MSG. The network seems to be operating well right now. We\u2019re happy with where we\u2019re at, and we\u2019ll be prepared if we need to pivot at some point.\u201d NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman \u201cis eager\u201d for Western N.Y. to host an outdoor game in the new Highmark Stadium<\/a>.
