Colorado Hockey Now<\/p>\n
For the fourth and final time in the regular season, the Avalanche and Stars go head to head. These have been some of the best and most entertaining games all season. On paper, the Avs have played better. They\u2019ve had the better chances, more control, and way more shots. <\/p>\n
But somehow, all three games have gone to a shootout with Dallas winning two of them. It\u2019s been that close.<\/p>\n
This game will also be Brent Burns\u2019 1,000th consecutive game, which in itself is a crazy accomplishment. I have a story coming later this morning about Burns\u2019 run, and how its gotten to this point. It\u2019s a fun read before puck drop.<\/p>\n

Philly Hockey Now:\u00a0Only two games on the schedule on Friday, but one of them involved the Philadelphia Flyers, and they racked up another important two points.<\/a><\/p>\n NYI Hockey Now: The loss to the Flyers means the Islanders have 89 points in 77 games<\/a>. They\u2019re still third in the Metropolitan Division, but probably not for long. All four of the Ottawa Senators, Detroit Red Wings, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Philadelphia Flyers are tied with 88. Two of those teams can also jump the Islanders in the Metro.
