The Boston Bruins<\/a> are getting ready for another weekend back-to-back.\u00a0<\/p>\n

They are coming off a loss, but since the New Year, they have been a team able to bounce back in the next game.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There were two games last night, including a Flyers win, which keeps their playoff push alive. The playoff push gets tighter with the Flyers involved, and they are now tied in a four-way tie with 88 points, only one behind the NY Islanders for the third spot in the Metropolitan.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In other league news, the Maple Leafs\u2019 asking price for forward Matthew Knies was high, like many at the trade deadline. Two Original Six teams were checking in on the 23-year-old forward, but no deal was struck. Elsewhere, the Red Wings have four guys scoring half their goals, and Jack Hughes\u2019s golden goal tour has not ended.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The NHL schedule is filled with 15 games today, starting at 12:30 PM with the last puck drop set for 10:00 PM.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Boston Bruins<\/p>\n

GAMEDAY<\/a>: The Boston Bruins (43-25-8) are in Tampa, FL, today for an indoor game against the Tampa Bay Lightning (47-22-6). They have not beaten the Lightning this season, losing 6-4 and 6-5 in a shootout during the first two meetings. The Lightning rank first in the Atlantic Division with 100 points.\u00a0<\/p>\n

RESPONDING TO LOSSES<\/a>: The Bruins lost on Thursday in Florida, but recently, they have turned the page quickly. The Bruins are 10-0-2 in games after a loss since January 1, and although they have lost to some teams outside of the playoff picture, they have bounced back with wins against top teams.<\/p>\n

Prospects Update<\/p>\n

Providence Bruins (video via \ud835\udd4f)<\/a>: A nice play from James Hagens<\/a> gave the P-Bruins a 2-1 lead last night. Patrick Brown<\/a> scored the tap-in after Hagens created net-front space for the Providence captain.<\/p>\n

Both minor league affiliates, as well as Cooper Simpson and the Youngstown Phantoms are in action tonight:<\/p>\n

Detroit Hockey Now<\/a>: 49.54% of the goals scored by the Detroit Red Wings have been scored by four players, and one of them is a former Bruin. Check out the four goal scorers who are responsible for almost half of the Red Wings\u2019 goals this season.\u00a0<\/p>\n
