{"id":540717,"date":"2026-04-04T18:31:23","date_gmt":"2026-04-04T18:31:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/540717\/"},"modified":"2026-04-04T18:31:23","modified_gmt":"2026-04-04T18:31:23","slug":"oilers-hyman-out-vs-golden-knights-draisaitl-set-for-return-to-skating","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/540717\/","title":{"rendered":"Oilers&#8217; Hyman out vs. Golden Knights, Draisaitl set for return to skating"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsnet.ca\/hockey\/nhl\/teams\/edmonton-oilers\/\" class=\"sn-team-post-link\" target=\"_self\" data-team=\"edmonton-oilers\" data-league=\"nhl\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Edmonton Oilers<\/a> will be without forward <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsnet.ca\/hockey\/nhl\/players\/zach-hyman\/df68fd1a-d52d-4a74-b762-0aafada4a622\" class=\"sn-player-post-link\" target=\"_self\" data-player=\"df68fd1a-d52d-4a74-b762-0aafada4a622\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Zach Hyman<\/a> for Saturday&#8217;s clash with the Vegas Golden Knights (8 p.m. MT \/ 10 p.m. ET on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+).<\/p>\n<p>Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch told reporters that Hyman will miss the contest with an undisclosed injury, but added that the winger would be in the lineup if it were a playoff game.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, star centre <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsnet.ca\/hockey\/nhl\/players\/leon-draisaitl\/f7bb7a51-75d3-4f16-8491-a762acfb874a\" class=\"sn-player-post-link\" target=\"_self\" data-player=\"f7bb7a51-75d3-4f16-8491-a762acfb874a\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Leon Draisaitl<\/a> is expected to resume skating in the coming days, but won&#8217;t travel with the team for its final road trip of the regular season.<\/p>\n<p>Hyman, 33, has 31 goals and 20 assists in 57 games for Edmonton this season.<\/p>\n<p>He played 16:40 in the Oilers&#8217; 3-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Draisaitl&#8217;s return to the ice is a good sign for Edmonton as it gears up for the post-season.<\/p>\n<p>The 30-year-old has been out since March 15 with a lower-body injury.<\/p>\n<p>Draisaitl had 35 goals and 62 assists in 65 games before hitting the injured reserve.<\/p>\n<p>Edmonton enters Saturday&#8217;s contest against Vegas tied with the Anaheim Ducks atop the Pacific Division.
