Nick Lardis is expected to play Saturday night for the Chicago Blackhawks after taking a puck to the hand.<\/p>\n

Chicago Blackhawks<\/a> forward Nick Lardis is expected to be in the lineup for tonight\u2019s game after taking a puck to the hand in the previous contest.<\/p>\n

The Athletic\u2019s Mark Lazerus reported the update Saturday<\/a> during the team\u2019s morning skate, noting that Lardis has been cleared to return and is not expected to miss additional time.<\/p>\n

The 20-year-old rookie was injured when a shot deflected off his hand during the Blackhawks\u2019 Thursday night game in Edmonton. He left the contest briefly but has since been given the green light to play.<\/p>\n

Lardis has been one of the more promising young forwards for the rebuilding Blackhawks, especially since moving up the lineup. His availability provides a boost to the lineup heading into Saturday\u2019s matchup. The young forward has 14 points (9G, 5A) in 35 games with the NHL club this season. <\/p>\n
