During the Saturday Headlines segment on\u00a0Hockey Night in Canada, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported the Predators held in-person general manager interviews this week.<\/p>\n
Friedman listed a few names who may have interviewed, including Panthers assistant GM Brett Peterson, Stars assistant GM Scott White and Oilers assistant GM Bill Scott.<\/p>\n
The Carolina Hurricanes’ Darren Yorke, who is the general manager of their AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves, also interviewed in-person for the Nashville job. He has been with the Wolves organization for 17 years.<\/p>\n
The Predators also asked the Hurricanes for permission to speak to general manager Eric Tulsky, but were denied.<\/p>\n
“The Hurricanes would not talk about this when I asked about it today,” Friedman said. “It is kind of funny timing because Keith Pelley mentioned Eric Tulsky’s name, but during their search, Nashville asked for permission to speak to Carolina’s GM and they were denied.”<\/p>\n
