{"id":541735,"date":"2026-04-05T07:59:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-05T07:59:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/541735\/"},"modified":"2026-04-05T07:59:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-05T07:59:08","slug":"sacha-boisvert-scores-1st-nhl-goal-in-win","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/541735\/","title":{"rendered":"Sacha Boisvert scores 1st NHL goal in win"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SEATTLE \u2014 Sacha Boisvert scored his first NHL goal and Tyler Bertuzzi notched his team-leading 32nd as the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Seattle Kraken 4-2 on Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p>Teuvo Ter\u00e4v\u00e4inen and Ilya Mikheyev also scored for the Hawks, who snapped a five-game losing streak after being <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagotribune.com\/2026\/04\/02\/chicago-blackhawks-lose-elminated-playoff-contention\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">eliminated from playoff contention<\/a> Thursday with a loss to the Oilers in Edmonton, Alberta.<\/p>\n<p>Arvid S\u00f6derblom made 25 saves for the Hawks and Connor Bedard had two assists, lifting his team-leading total to 41 and pushing his career point total to 199.<\/p>\n<p>Jaden Schwartz and Kaapo Kakko scored for the Kraken, who are still in the hunt for the playoffs with 75 points, six out of the West\u2019s second wild-card spot. Seattle, which has lost four straight and is just 5-12-2 since the Olympic break, has seven games left.<\/p>\n<p>With the Hawks up 2-1, Boisvert \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagotribune.com\/2026\/03\/26\/chicago-blackhawks-sacha-boisvert-debut\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">playing in his fifth NHL game<\/a> \u2014 streaked down the slot on an odd-man rush and took a pass from Kevin Korchinski before shooting a one-timer past Kraken goalie Philipp Grubauer with 5:52 to play. Grubauer had 27 saves.<\/p>\n<p>Ter\u00e4v\u00e4inen put the Hawks on the board with a power-play goal at 9:15 of the second period, taking Bedard\u2019s pass and poking a shot inside the left post that trickled in off Grubauer\u2019s skate.<\/p>\n<p>Bertuzzi made it 2-0 with 22.2 seconds left in the second, tucking the rebound of a shot by Andr\u00e9 Burakovsky. Mikheyev scored into an empty net with 1:12 remaining.<\/p>\n<p>Schwartz\u2019s 11th of the year cut the Hawks\u2019 lead to 2-1 with 9:12 remaining.
