Winnipeg Jets<\/a> centre Morgan Barron<\/a> is listed as week-to-week after sustaining a lower-body injury in the team\u2019s 2-1 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets<\/a> on Saturday, TSN\u2019s Danielle Bain reports.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s tough timing for the Jets, whose playoff hopes are hanging by a thread at 33-31-12 entering play on Monday.<\/p>\n

Barron, 27, has 11 goals and 23 points in 65 games this season for the Jets – his fifth with the team. He logged 12:59 of ice time over 17 shifts in the game against Columbus, which was just above his season average of 12:48 per game.<\/p>\n

Winnipeg sits tied for 11th in the Western Conference at 78 points, but are just three points behind the Nashville Predators<\/a> and Los Angeles Kings<\/a>, who are currently tied for the final spot in the playoffs with six games apiece remaining.<\/p>\n

In order for Winnipeg to qualify for the playoffs for a fourth consecutive season and eighth in their past nine campaigns, they will need to overtake four teams ahead of them in the standings.<\/p>\n

Barron has already set a career high in points this season primarily skating on the fourth line. The sixth-year veteran has 41 goals and 83 points over 321 career NHL games split between the New York Rangers<\/a> and Jets.<\/p>\n
