{"id":544253,"date":"2026-04-06T19:36:15","date_gmt":"2026-04-06T19:36:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/544253\/"},"modified":"2026-04-06T19:36:15","modified_gmt":"2026-04-06T19:36:15","slug":"canucks-kevin-lankinen-out-day-to-day-with-upper-body-injury","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/544253\/","title":{"rendered":"Canucks\u2019 Kevin Lankinen out day-to-day with upper-body injury"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg\">The march to the end of the season got a little bit more challenging for the <a class=\"text-secondary underline underline-offset-2\" hreflang=\"en\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfaceoff.com\/teams\/vancouver-canucks\/line-combinations\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Vancouver Canucks<\/a> on Monday, as the hockey club announced that goaltender Kevin Lankinen was out\u00a0day-to-day with an upper-body injury.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg\">The news comes after Saturday\u2019s 7-4 loss to the <a class=\"text-secondary underline underline-offset-2\" hreflang=\"en\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfaceoff.com\/teams\/utah-mammoth\/line-combinations\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Utah Mammoth<\/a>, in which depth netminder Ji\u0159\u00ed Patera was a late emergency callup from the AHL\u2019s Abbotsford Canucks in the hours before puck drop. 26-year-old Belarusian netminder, Nikita Tolopilo, started the game for his 18th of the season, turning away 23 shots of the Mammoth\u2019s 29.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg\">Lankinen, 30, has not played for the Canucks since making 30 stops on 36 shots in Vancouver\u2019s thrilling 8-6 victory over the league-leading <a class=\"text-secondary underline underline-offset-2\" hreflang=\"en\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfaceoff.com\/teams\/colorado-avalanche\/line-combinations\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Colorado Avalanche<\/a> on April 1.  That performance marked his 44th game of the year, a team-high among the four netminders the Canucks have leaned on this season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg\">The Finnish backstop has amassed a .875 save percentage over his showings and is credited with nine wins, 26 losses and five overtime defeats.
