The Dallas Stars<\/a> received a triple injury update Monday ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Calgary Flames<\/a> at 7 p.m. CT.<\/p>\n

Journalist Sam Nestler provided updates on winger Nathan Bastian, center Radek Faksa and defenseman Tyler Myers. Neither of the first two will be available to play against Calgary.<\/p>\n

Bastian, 28, was limited to only 4:02 of time on ice in the last game he played more than a week ago. He is expected to be out for three to four weeks.<\/p>\n

“Nathan Bastian is the outlier of injuries, closer to 3-4 weeks (2nd round) rather than sometime around the playoffs starting,” Nestler wrote<\/a> on his X account.<\/p>\n

Gulutzan ‘surprised’ by Faksa’s rapid progress as Stars get injury news<\/p>\n

As for Faksa, 32, the report indicates he is close to returning, but is not an option to play against the Flames. “Radek Faksa is close, but not an option tomorrow. [Glen] Gulutzan seemed surprised by how quickly he’s progressed,” Nestler explained.<\/p>\n

“Initially expected to be sidelined into the postseason, head coach Glen Gulutzan expressed that Faksa is remarkably ahead of schedule and could play before the end of the season,” the Daily Faceoff<\/a> portal added.<\/p>\n

As for Myers, 36, the veteran defenseman appears set to play against Calgary, according to Nestler. On April 2, Robert Tiffin reported Myers’ injury as “undisclosed.”<\/p>\n

Dallas sits second in the Central Division with a record of 45-20-12 through 77 games. They lost to Colorado 2-0 in their most recent game on Saturday, after defeating Winnipeg 3-0 on April 2.<\/p>\n
