The Boston Bruins<\/a> are holding onto a playoff spot, but the team could be changing the way they play.<\/p>\n

Boston is close to clinching a playoff spot, as the Bruins have exceeded expectations this season. However, ahead of the playoffs, Bruins forward Pavel Zacha said the team<\/a> has to shoot the puck more, and it\u2019s something the team will do in the playoffs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe talk about it,\u201d Zacha said, via The Athletic. \u201cWe just don\u2019t do it in the games yet. If you want to make the playoffs, we\u2019re going to have to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Bruins had just 15 five-on-five shots on Sunday and 16 against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday. So, Boston knows if they are going to win some playoff series, the team has to shoot the puck more and create more offense.<\/p>\n

Another way to create more offense is on the power play, and star forward David Pastrnak said the team is going to be more aggressive on the power play.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe talked to be more direct, to be more aggressive, have guys around the net,\u201d Pastrnak said. \u201cSo when there\u2019s opportunities to take shots, it\u2019s a good power-play goal. Too bad we didn\u2019t create more power plays. But that goes with trying to take the puck to the net, to those gritty areas, where you can create more penalties and more goal-scoring opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n

Boston is currently 43-26-9 and holding onto the top Wild Card spot. The Bruins will return to the ice on Tuesday on the road against the Carolina Hurricanes.<\/p>\n
