Michkov previously received a warning following an incident in a Dec. 3 game against the Buffalo Sabres. His second offence came on March 24 against the Columbus Blue Jackets, where he was assessed an embellishment minor at 17:24 of the second period.<\/p>\n
On the same play, Columbus defenceman Dante Fabbro received a minor penalty for cross-checking, resulting in offsetting penalties.<\/p>\n
Under Rule 64, fines increase with each subsequent citation, with players facing up to $5,000 in penalties.
