They officially finish the 2025-26 regular season with a 15-20-6 record away from home. Panthers GM Bill Zito discussed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7175789\/2026\/04\/07\/panthers-lost-season-bill-zito\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">lost season<\/a> for the two-time defending champs, and how they bounce back in 2026-27.<\/p>\n<p>New Jersey Hockey Now: Speaking of failed seasons, the <a href=\"https:\/\/sportsnaut.com\/nhl\/new-jersey-devils\/devils-new-fire-gm-tom-fitzgerald\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">New Jersey Devils<\/a> fired GM Tom Fitzgerald on Tuesday with five games to go in a disastrous 2025-26 campaign. No interim GM has yet been named in the meantime.<\/p>\n<p>San Jose Hockey Now: From the other side of the coin, here are the takeaways from the <a href=\"https:\/\/sanjosehockeynow.com\/san-jose-sharks-chicago-blackhawks-game-notes-76\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">San Jose Sharks<\/a>\u2018 3-2 win over the Blackhawks, as they keep pace in the Western Conference playoff race.<\/p>\n<p>NHL.com: The Sharks weren\u2019t the only postseason chasers to earn a clutch two points on Monday, as the Los Angeles Kings took down the Nashville Predators 3-2 in a shootout. DeBrincat is also on the verge of a few more milestones before the regular season wraps up.<\/p>\n<p>Star Tribune: The Minnesota Wild inked 2023 first-round pick Charlie Stramel to a three-year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.startribune.com\/wild-sign-2023-first-round-pick-charlie-stramel-to-three-year-contract\/601637384\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">entry-level contract<\/a> on Monday. Stramel, 21, tallied 44 points (19G, 25A) in 37 games during his senior season in 2025-26 with Michigan State University.
