The Winnipeg Jets<\/a> announced on Monday that they have loaned forward Parker Ford back to the Manitoba Moose.<\/p>\n

Ford took warmups ahead of Monday night\u2019s matchup between Winnipeg and the Seattle Kraken, assuming he would be a healthy scratch, but right before puck drop it was confirmed that Ford had been loaned back to the Jets\u2019 AHL affiliate.<\/p>\n

Ford and Danny Zhilkin were called up to the Jets on March 27 on emergency conditions after Morgan Barron was in concussion protocol. Zhilkin was sent back down following Barron\u2019s return to the lineup on April 2 in Dallas, and now Ford has also been returned with the return of Nino Niederreiter and Vladislav Namestnikov from injury.<\/p>\n

The undrafted forward has appeared in 15 games with Winnipeg this season, recording one assist. In 45 games with Manitoba, he has posted six goals and 15 assists for 21 points. In 18 career NHL appearances, the Wakefield, RI product has produced two points (1G, 1A).<\/p>\n

Ford\u2019s return will provide a boost for Manitoba, which had several players up with the big club for an extended stretch, and still has Elias Salomonsson, Ville Heinola, and Brad Lambert with Winnipeg. The Moose continue their push for the playoffs tonight at home against the Milwaukee Admirals. Manitoba currently sits fourth in the Central Division with 68 points and seven games remaining, while Milwaukee is right behind them in fifth place, three points back.<\/p>\n

In the Central Division, the top five teams qualify for the Calder Cup Playoffs: the second-place team faces the third-place team, while the first-place team plays the winner of the fourth vs. fifth matchup.<\/p>\n
