<\/p>\nThe Edmonton Oilers come to San Jose tonight, looking to put a bow on the season series and get one step closer to locking up a spot in the playoffs. The Oilers have won two of the three games against the Sharks this season, outscoring San Jose 14-10. Of course, the Pacific Division is anyone\u2019s race at this point in time. While the Oilers currently lead with 88 points, the Vegas Golden Knights also have 88 and Anaheim is one point behind both teams. None of those three teams have the Pacific Division locked up. While the Los Angeles Kings and San Jose Sharks appear to be fighting it out for the wild card, a run by either of them and and a drop off by any of the others and there could be a shake up in the Pacific.<\/p>\n
As of this evening before the games were played, here\u2019s where the Pacific Division and wild card race stand.<\/p>\n

The Oilers played the Anaheim Ducks last night and the game went to overtime. As a result, the Oilers had to fly into Oakland and didn\u2019t get into town until late. That should give the Sharks a tired team to potentially pounce on this evening.<\/p>\n

Sharks fans may not be happy with some of the changes happening on the ice tonight. John Klingberg is in and Shakir Mukhamadullin is out after having a very good game against the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday night. Ty Dellandrea is out and Adam Gaudette is in.
