Francis was named the franchise\u2019s first GM in July 2019, and his \u201cjob title shifted last summer\u201d to hockey operations boss. Current GM Jason Botterill \u201cwill remain in his role and lead hockey operations.\u201d Much of the \u201cgrowing anger among fans seems to be directed at Francis,\u201d whose squads only made one playoff appearance in 2023.
