Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube confirmed after Wednesday’s game that Akhtyamov, 24, will make his first NHL start against the Islanders. <\/p>\n
In 36 games with the Marlies this season, Akhtyamov has a 20-12-4 record with a 2.90 goals-against average and a .903 save percentage. <\/p>\n
