Music<\/p>\n
Sway along to soulful tunes with the UTA jazz department at its spring jazz concert at 7:30 p.m. April 16 at Texas Hall. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students, alumni and seniors. The doors open around 7 p.m. <\/p>\n
Join violinist LeeAnne Chenoweth, cellist Alice Lee and pianist Heejung Kang for a night of music from French composers such as Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel from 8 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the River Legacy Living Science Center. General tickets start at $40, with college student, K-12 and teacher tickets at $15. <\/p>\n
Dance along with Matador, a post-metal atmosdoom band from England at 7 p.m. Friday at Dr. Jeckyll\u2019s Beer Lab. All ages are welcome at the event, and tickets start at $10. The doors open at 6 p.m. The band\u2019s latest album features six songs and was released Feb. 27.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Watch the heart of downtown Dallas transform into a celebration of art and sound at the Downtown Dallas Arts and Music Festival, featuring live performances, visual art and local businesses. The free three-day event begins with Jazz Under the Stars from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Main Street Garden Park. <\/p>\n
Join The Football Team: A Creative Collective for its Indie Sleaze Night at 8 p.m. Friday at Growl Records. The event will include music from Antidote and Temporence. The doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 in presale and $12 at the door. <\/p>\n
Sports<\/p>\n
Cheer on the Dallas Stars as they take on the New York Rangers at 4 p.m. Saturday at the American Airlines Center. The Stars clinched a postseason spot for the fifth year in a row. Tickets start at around $74, and the doors open at about 2:30 p.m. <\/p>\n
