After losing back-to-back games where they only scored one goal, the Canucks are looking to add to the team chemistry of their brand new roster and to find the back of the net at a more consistent rate to boost morale. On the flip side, the Canucks are locked in for the best odds at the number one overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, but who they will target is yet to be determined.

San Jose Sharks News and Notes:

The San Jose Sharks are hanging on by a thread in the Western Conference Playoff Race. The Sharks sit just four points back from the final spot, currently held by the Los Angeles Kings. There are still many teams in the mix for the wild card spot, like the Nashville Predators, the Winnipeg Jets, the St. Louis Blues, or even the Seattle Kraken, so every single game counts at this point in the season for the San Jose Sharks, and they can’t afford to lose easier matchups in this tight of a race.

Vancouver Canucks Projected Lines:

O’Connor-E. With Douglas’ role solidified as a fourth line enforcer, it’s time for him to get rewarded with some points on the board.

San Jose Sharks:

Of course, the young phenom that is Macklin Celebrini has been a handful for any team to deal with as he continues to add to his 42 goals and 66 assists on the season. However, Kiefer Sherwood is looking for some revenge against the team that traded him away, while he looks to continue his hot streak with two goals in his last three games.

Injury Report:

Vancouver Canucks:

G Kevin Lankinen – Day to Day
LW Evander Kane – Day to Day
C Filip Chytil – IR
D Derek Forbort – LTIR
G Thatcher Demko – LTIR

San Jose Sharks:

RW Ryan Reaves – Day to Day
C Logan Couture – IR
G Carey Price – SELTIR

Next Game:

San Jose Sharks: Monday, April 13 at Nashville Predators – 8 pm ET
Vancouver Canucks: Sunday, April 12 at Anaheim Ducks – 8 pm ET

Discover more from Inside The Rink

Subscribe to get the latest posts sent to your email.

Vancouver Canucks (22-48-8, 52 pts) at San Jose Sharks (37-34-7, 81 pts)Venue: SAP CenterDate: Saturday, April 11thTime: 10:30…

[462
7704,12257,1614,2318,5,7747,6386,145,501,4,465,466,234,84,92,18
0":"post-550364","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-nhl-draft","8":"tag-2026-nhl-draft","9":"tag-curtis-douglas","10":"tag-drew-oconnor","11":"tag-elias-pettersson","12":"tag-hockey","13":"tag-jake-debrusk","14":"tag-kiefer-sherwood","15":"tag-los-angeles-kings","16":"tag-macklin-celebrini","17":"tag-nhl","18":"tag-nhl-draft","19":"tag-nhl-entry-draft","20":"tag-seattle-kraken","21":"tag-st-louis-blues","22":"tag-tampa-bay-lightning","23":"tag-winnipeg-jets
["GET
