However, first-year head coach Marco Sturm\u2019s announcement to reporters before puck drop against the Columbus Blue Jackets gives Bruins fans plenty to watch for.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sturm confirmed that 2025 first-round draft pick James Hagans would be taking the ice for his NHL debut on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe will play his first NHL game today,\u201d Sturm said with a smile. \u201cHe is very excited. Hopefully, he is going to have a good first game.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He then shared the advice he has given the 19-year-old New York native.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust, probably, keep it simple,\u201d Sturm said. \u201cIt\u2019s not going to be easy. I think that\u2019s the message he just received. They\u2019re (Blue Jackets) in the hunt.
