{"id":555348,"date":"2026-04-18T15:46:18","date_gmt":"2026-04-18T15:46:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/555348\/"},"modified":"2026-04-18T15:46:18","modified_gmt":"2026-04-18T15:46:18","slug":"ottawa-senators-playoff-hype-video-is-a-crime-against-hockey-humanity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/555348\/","title":{"rendered":"Ottawa Senators Playoff Hype Video Is A Crime Against Hockey Humanity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Oh yeah, these guys are getting swept.<\/p>\n<p>PublishedApril 18, 2026 11:00 AM EDT\u2022UpdatedApril 18, 2026 11:00 AM EDT<\/p>\n<p>FacebookTwitterEmailCopy Link<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">2026 is a year of dubious playoff droughts being broken in the Eastern Conference of the NHL.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">First, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outkick.com\/sports\/buffalo-sabres-new-york-jets-postseason-drought\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Buffalo Sabres made it back to the dance<\/a> for the first time since the Arab Spring, giving the fans in upstate New York something to look forward to other than a month and a half of livable weather.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">And now, it&#8217;s the Ottawa Senators getting back in the mix for the first time since their magical 2017 Eastern Conference Finals run.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">Unfortunately, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outkick.com\/sports\/red-wings-eliminated-octopus-throw-devils-loss\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">the Red Wings pissed down their legs<\/a> in the final two-month stretch of the season, or this could have been a triumvirate of disappointed fans being rewarded (sorry, Detroit).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">Speaking of being rewarded, the Senators likely won&#8217;t be making it out of the first round this year thanks to a monstrosity of a fan hype video.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">Trigger warning if you cringe easily:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outkick.com\/sports\/brady-tkachuk-defends-keith-tkachuk-comments-ottawa-media-controversy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">READ: Brady Tkachuk Defends Dad After Media Twists Keith Tkachuk Comments<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">Oh yeah, these guys are getting swept.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">They probably thought they were so clever with that little dig at the Maple Leafs, too.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">It&#8217;s not quite as bad as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outkick.com\/sports\/regardless-final-four-result-illinois-already-lost-cringey-fan-acapella-performance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">the a cappella nightmare the Illinois glee club gave us<\/a>, but this is pretty awful.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">It&#8217;s also very well produced, so you know these guys are at least somewhat affiliated with the Sens, and it also means a lot of money went into this.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">Ottawa already had an uphill battle, as its opening round opponent, the Carolina Hurricanes, are basically a lock to at least win a first-round playoff series these days.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">They didn&#8217;t need to go and give a worthy opponent more jet fuel to throw on the fire.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">You probably could&#8217;ve guessed it, but these guys are getting raked over the coals for ending the Sens playoff run before it even began.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">Forget about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outkick.com\/sports\/team-usa-star-brady-tkachuk-hounded-over-harmless-laugh-trump-joke\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">liberal reporters trying to publicly shame him<\/a>, I think THIS is the final straw for Brady Tkachuk demanding a trade.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">If the Sens get swept in the first round and then lose their franchise cornerstone\/team captain as a result of it, these guys should be tied up in the public square so fans can pelt them with tomatoes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\">Better luck next year, Ottawa. And keep these aspiring artists far away from your franchise in the future.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Oh yeah, these guys are getting swept.
