The former Badgers freshman forward found the back of the net for his first AHL goal on April 17.<\/p>\n<p>Head coach Mark Johnson would&#8217;ve loved to have Montgomery around for longer, but the Maryland native proved exactly why his decision to go pro early was a risk worth taking.
