Drake Batherson<\/a> and Dylan Cozens<\/a> scored in the second period for the Ottawa Senators<\/a>, and Sebastian Aho<\/a> found the net for the Hurricanes as the teams are tied 2-2 after 40 minutes of Game 2.<\/p>\n

The Hurricanes lead the best-of-seven series 1-0.<\/p>\n

Aho converted a two-on-one break after receiving a feed from Jordan Staal<\/a>, to double the Hurricanes\u2019 advantage over the Senators.<\/p>\n

The Aho marker at 7:50 was technically an even-strength goal, but came just after a penalty to Sean Walker<\/a> expired and the break began as the home team was shorthanded.<\/p>\n

Batherson responded with the Senators\u2019 first goal of the series at the 10:47 mark of the period, beating Hurricanes goaltender Frederik Andersen<\/a> up high from the side of the net.<\/p>\n

Senators defenceman Jake Sanderson<\/a> made the key play leading to the goal as he kept a puck in at the blueline, before feeding down low to Batherson for the marker.<\/p>\n

Cozens then equalized for the Senators at 16:40, as he slipped a puck between the pads of Andersen.<\/p>\n

Linus Ullmark<\/a> has been brilliant in net for the Senators, with 28 saves through two periods, many of them highlight reel-worthy stops.<\/p>\n

Andersen has turned away 14 shots in net for the Hurricanes.<\/p>\n

Logan Stankoven<\/a> opened the scoring for the Hurricanes at 6:31 of the first period on the power play when he converted a Taylor Hall<\/a> pass from behind the net.<\/p>\n

Brady Tkachuk<\/a> was in the box at the time serving a roughing penalty, the first infraction called in the game.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, Andersen made 22 saves as the Hurricanes defeated the Senators 2-0 in Game 1 of the series.<\/p>\n

Stankoven and Hall provided the offence for Carolina with Jackson Blake<\/a> picking up two helpers in the victory.<\/p>\n

The Senators are playing without defenceman Artem Zub<\/a>, who exited the Game 1 loss with an undisclosed injury in the second period.<\/p>\n

He was a game-time decision heading into Monday\u2019s contest, but was scratched with Lassi Thomson<\/a> inserted into the lineup.<\/p>\n
