The St. Louis Blues enjoyed a nice influx of talent in 2025-26, and it has set up a really bright future. It was so good, in fact, that these rookies led the National Hockey League in a really big statisitic. <\/p>\n

With the core about to be blown up, and partially was during the trade deadline, this franchise is heading down a path that embraces the youth. These younger players are the lifeline of their future, and it has already started to show signs of good things. <\/p>\n

Let’s talk about it. <\/p>\n

Blues rookies were sharpshooters<\/p>\n

The 2025-26 Blues were underwhelming to say the least, but there was some good things to come of it. The rookie group scored 43 goals as a group, which was the most in the NHL for any team and their rookie’s. <\/p>\n

Jimmy Snuggerud was the catalyst of that, with 21 goals to his credit. After helping the Blues last season to a surprise playoff berth, and then playing in all seven games against Winnipeg in the first round series, he came into this season with a lot of confidence. It certainly paid off, as he was one of the best players on this team<\/a> all season. <\/p>\n

Dalibor Dvorsky followed up behind No. 21, with 12 goals of his own. His highlight was a stellar Olympic tournament, but he also had a solid first-half of the season. The post-Olympic performance was a bit stale, but there is some hope for 2026-27 to be a breakout. <\/p>\n

Logan Mailloux had a rough season overall, but scored five goals. Otto Stenberg pushed himself into the goal party with three goals himself. Theo Lindstein notched two goals as well. <\/p>\n

These 43 goals is not a franchise-record, as the Blues rookie squad in 2008-09 scored 51. <\/p>\n

In terms of what comes next, this is a great sign. There is no certainty with the General Manager change<\/a> of who stays in the core, and who does not. But, there is an emphasis on this team getting younger. <\/p>\n

So far, so good. <\/p>\n
