{"id":559852,"date":"2026-04-26T08:39:23","date_gmt":"2026-04-26T08:39:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/559852\/"},"modified":"2026-04-26T08:39:23","modified_gmt":"2026-04-26T08:39:23","slug":"knoblauch-oilers-havent-decided-on-starting-goalie-for-game-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/559852\/","title":{"rendered":"Knoblauch: Oilers &#8216;haven&#8217;t decided&#8217; on starting goalie for Game 4"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Down 2-1 in their best-of-seven series against the Anaheim Ducks, Oilers&#8217; head coach Kris Knoblauch said they &#8220;haven\u2019t decided&#8221; if <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsnet.ca\/hockey\/nhl\/players\/connor-ingram\/439d6194-0240-47f0-aead-9a74bf971824\" class=\"sn-player-post-link\" target=\"_self\" data-player=\"439d6194-0240-47f0-aead-9a74bf971824\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Connor Ingram<\/a> will start Game 4  on Sunday. <\/p>\n<p>Ingram has started the first three games and allowed six goals on 38 shots in a 7-4 Game 2 loss to the Ducks on Friday. <\/p>\n<p>The 29-year-old has a 4.70 goals against average and .849 save percentage over the three games. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Today in the NHL, very rarely do you have one goalie play all the games in the playoffs,&#8221; Knoblauch said. <\/p>\n<p>Mid-season trade acquisition <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsnet.ca\/hockey\/nhl\/players\/tristan-jarry\/453cb83d-bdd1-4862-aa4e-e9f32f458f82\" class=\"sn-player-post-link\" target=\"_self\" data-player=\"453cb83d-bdd1-4862-aa4e-e9f32f458f82\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Tristan Jarry<\/a>\u00a0reportedly occupied the starter\u2019s net at Oilers practice Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Acquired from the Pittsburgh Penguins for previous No. 1 Stuart Skinner, Jarry had a 3.86 goals against average and .857 save percentage in 19 regular-season games with Edmonton. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We got two good goalies that we feel confident they can both play, and going into the playoffs, we felt that &#8230; we&#8217;re going to have to make a switch at some time,&#8221; Knoblauch added.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile,\u00a0Connor McDavid\u00a0and\u00a0Leon Draisaitl\u00a0didn&#8217;t skate in Edmonton&#8217;s practice ahead of Game 4.
