He is very elusive when carrying the puck and can pull off high-skilled moves at top speed. Zahejsky can also beat defenders in one-on-one races to loose pucks, as he was one of the fastest forwards in the WHL this season.” Kierszenblat said.

Zahejsky, 17, was selected second overall in the Canadian Hockey League’s Import Draft last summer by the Kamloops Blazers and just a month later, went on to have an incredible showing for the Czechs at the Hlinka-Gretzky Cup, where they finished second after losing to Canada in the Gold Medal Game.

Instead of returning to Czechia for the 2024-25 campaign, the Plzen native heading to Kamloops where he appeared in 46 games and registered 15 points (three goals, 12 assists), 15 penalty minutes and was a minus-19.

If the Vancouver Canucks hold onto their sixth round pick in next month’s draft, which is quite likely at this point, then Vit Zahejsky is a name that should certainly be near the top of Patrik Allvin and the scouting staff’s lists for late round targets.

Previously on CanucksDaily

POLL

5 HOURS AGO | 96 ANSWERS

New 2025 NHL Entry Draft Target for the Vancouver Canucks Comes to the Surface

Should the Vancouver Canucks draft Vit Zahejsky in the sixth round?

Photo credit: Hokej.cz A late round target for the 2025 National Hockey League Entry Draft has emerged for…

[5128
372,894,1669,5,4,466,893,27,10325,5313,11748
0":"post-56411","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-vancouver-canucks","8":"tag-2025-nhl-entry-draft","9":"tag-canucks","10":"tag-canucks-daily","11":"tag-hockey","12":"tag-nhl","13":"tag-nhl-entry-draft","14":"tag-vancouver","15":"tag-vancouver-canucks","16":"tag-vancouver-canucks-draft-targets","17":"tag-vancouvercanucks","18":"tag-vit-zahejsky
["GET
