Jessica Campbell will not be returning to the Seattle Kraken bench for the 2026-27 season. The assistant coach signed a two-year contract with the Kraken in 2024; prior to that she worked with Seattle\u2019s AHL affiliate Coachella Valley Firebirds.<\/p>\n
With her contract coming to an end, Campbell wishes seek other coaching opportunities. Upon announcing the news, Kraken GM Jason Botterill added that \u201cJessica has been an important member of our coaching staff for the past four years demonstrating deep knowledge, and a unique ability to connect with and develop players. We respect her decision and believe strongly in her as a coach in this league.\u201d<\/p>\n

Campbell made headlines in 2024 as the first full-time female assistant coach to work behind the bench in the regular season. She is best known for her work with special teams and player development. She has not yet announced her plans for next season.
