For short, it\u2019s not official yet, but still very likely. And if he does go, it\u2019s also very likely he will land on two feet. The B\u2019s also have a prospect in Russia who is one game away from winning the championship.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Four Bruins represented their home countries yesterday, and five will today.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in the league, the Golden Knights had a three-goal third period and took both road games to start the series, a Devils defenseman took to a show to share some frustrations, a Sabres goalie is a trade candidate in Philadelphia, and a pending Sharks free agent is a target in NY.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Also, the Vancouver Canucks may have a family matter on their hands.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Happy Saturday, catch up on Bruins and league news in today\u2019s Daily Bean:<\/p>\n<p>Boston Bruins<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bostonhockeynow.com\/2026-05-21-report-bruins-part-ways-with-assistant-coach\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">JAY LEACH<\/a>: On Thursday, David Pagnotta reported that the Bruins are not renewing the contract of assistant coach Jay Leach.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Friday\u2019s episode of <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/8hRUWhnxGVs?si=E0AA1jq4vARpHp0G&amp;t=3082\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">32 Thoughts: The Podcast<\/a>, Elliotte Friedman spoke about the Bruins and Leach.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had heard that he\u2019d been given permission to talk to other teams,\u201d Friedman said. \u201cAnd David Pagnotta reported he\u2019d been let go by the Bruins, and I heard that\u2019s disputed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think Dave will be right, in the sense that whenever you\u2019re given permission to talk to somebody else, then it\u2019s just a matter of time, right? I don\u2019t think, technically, he\u2019s been let go. But I do think he\u2019s got enough of a name and a reputation out there that there are going to be other opportunities for him. So, it was just kind of a weird one, but from what I understand right now is he has permission to talk to other teams, and we\u2019ll see.
