They cannot be desperate for a 1C this offseason, even if <a href=\"http:\/\/bostonhockeynow.com\/tag\/cam-neely\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cam Neely<\/a> says the Bruins do not have one. Neely is also high on two young Bruins, both of whom have the potential to fill that role once they develop.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A Bruins\u2019 enforcer was also posthumously diagnosed with CTE.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere around the hockey world, the World Championships will have a new champion, and there were two game misconducts handed out during the quarterfinals. The Devils and Blackhawks have trade options to look at, and there are some second-round centers to look at.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Game 5 between Montreal and Carolina is tonight.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Happy Friday, catch up on Bruins and league news in today\u2019s Daily Bean:<\/p>\n<p>To start, Claude Lemieux <a href=\"https:\/\/sportsnaut.com\/nhl\/new-jersey-devils\/devils-news-claude-lemieux-dead-at-60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">passed away<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/coloradohockeynow.com\/avalanche-stanley-cup-champion-claude-lemieux-dies-at-60\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">at 60 years<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/sportsnaut.com\/nhl\/montreal-canadiens\/montreal-canadiens-legend-claude-lemieux-passes-away-60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">old yesterday<\/a>. The Palm Beach County Sheriff\u2019s Office responded to a suicide call just after 3:00 AM yesterday morning at a furniture showroom in Lake Park, FL. Lemieux was in Montreal on Monday night, and he <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/KgtAgg5TdY4?si=vAHxtmGqXj5_rzVF\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">lit the torch<\/a> before Game 3 against Carolina.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s an uncomfortable conversation, but it is a tragedy. His family is sharing the results\u00a0to raise awareness and help prevent other athletes from suffering. He\u2019s a good player making $3.2 million for another season before he becomes an RFA, but the Bruins are doing their due diligence to see if his upside is appealing enough to another team to allow Boston to get back someone else who will help them in another part of their lineup.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hey!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.ph\/nhl\/story\/_\/id\/48892851\/nhl-2026-trade-candidates-top-prospects-michkov-nemec-poitras-mctavish\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ESPN<\/a>: Rachel Kryshak listed <a href=\"https:\/\/bostonhockeynow.com\/tag\/matthew-poitras\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Matt Poitras<\/a> as an under-25 player who could benefit from a change-of-scenery trade.
