{"id":591687,"date":"2026-06-05T08:30:28","date_gmt":"2026-06-05T08:30:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/591687\/"},"modified":"2026-06-05T08:30:28","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T08:30:28","slug":"bolts-jon-cooper-wins-jack-adams-award-as-top-coach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/591687\/","title":{"rendered":"Bolts&#8217; Jon Cooper wins Jack Adams Award as top coach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TAMPA \u2014 Tampa Bay Lightning coach Jon Cooper on Wednesday was named the 2026 recipient of the Jack Adams Award, granted each season to the NHL coach \u201cadjudged to have contributed the most to his team\u2019s success.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The team <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhl.com\/lightning\/news\/jon-cooper-named-winner-of-2026-jack-adams-award\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">made the announcement on its website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the NHL Broadcasters\u2019 Association vote on the annual award.<\/p>\n<p>Cooper is the second coach in franchise history to win the Jack Adams Award, joining John Tortorella in 2004.<\/p>\n<p>The Bolts went 50-26-6 during the 2005-06 season, reaching the playoffs for the ninth straight time.<\/p>\n<p>This marked Cooper\u2019s third time as a finalist for the award.
