NEW YORK (AP) \u2014 Andrei Vasilevskiy<\/a> of the Tampa Bay Lightning<\/a> has won the Vezina Trophy as the NHL\u2019s top goaltender.<\/p>\n

The league announced the award Saturday. It is the second Vezina honor of Vasilevskiy\u2019s career after he also won the award in the 2018-19 season.<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old Russian was a runaway winner in voting by the league\u2019s general managers. Vasilevskiy received 17 first-place votes among the 31 ballots cast.<\/p>\n

Vasilevskiy led all goalies with 39 wins, going 39-15-14 to backstop Tampa Bay<\/a> to a second-place finish<\/a> in the Atlantic Division and a ninth consecutive playoff appearance.<\/p>\n

With a 2.31 goals-against average and .912 save percentage, he ranked second to Colorado<\/a>\u2019s Scott Wedgewood<\/a> in those categories but started 15 more games, 58 to 43.<\/p>\n

The New York Islanders<\/a>\u2019 Ilya Sorokin<\/a> was second, Boston<\/a>\u2019s Jeremy Swayman<\/a> was third, Washington<\/a>\u2019s Logan Thompson<\/a> fourth, Wedgewood fifth, Philadelphia<\/a>‘s Dan Vladar<\/a> sixth, the New York Rangers’ Igor Shesterkin<\/a> seventh and Dallas<\/a>‘ Jake Oettinger<\/a> eighth.<\/p>\n
