The 31-year-old spent the season playing out the last of a two-year, $1.8 million deal. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">In 79 games combined with Minnesota and Nashville, the ninth-year player scored eight goals and totaled 17 points.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">McCarron also added two goals and four points in 11 games with the Wild in the postseason.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A former first-round draft pick by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/montreal-canadiens\/8\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/montreal-canadiens\/8\" target=\"_blank\">Montreal Canadiens<\/a>, McCarron has 36 goals and 79 points in 381 career NHL games with the Canadiens, Predators and Wild.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Michael McCarron is staying with the Minnesota Wild.
