OTTAWA – The Ottawa Senators have signed Norwegian forward Eskild Bakke Olsen to a one-year, entry-level contract, the NHL team announced Monday.<\/p>\n
The 24-year-old had 11 goals and 21 assists in 52 games with Linkoping HC of the Swedish Hockey League last season.<\/p>\n
Bakke Olsen was part of the Norwegian team that upset Canada 3-2 in overtime in the bronze medal game of last month’s world hockey championship in Switzerland.<\/p>\n
He had two goals and three assists in 10 games during the tournament.<\/p>\n
Bakke Olsen made his professional hockey debut in his hometown of Hamar with the Storhamar Hockey Club in the 2019-20 season.<\/p>\n
