Robertson’s qualifying offer was $9.3 million, Bourque’s was $997,500 and Hyry’s was $850,000, according to PuckPedia.

If a restricted free agent isn’t given a qualifying offer, they become a free agent July 1. The one-year qualifying offers give Dallas control over the players’ free agent status.

Dallas did not issue qualifying offers to Francesco Arcuri, Vladislav Kolyachonok, Benjamin Kraws, Kyle McDonald, Jeremie Poirier, Antonio Stranges, Samu Tuomaala and Chase Wheatcroft — all of whom spent most of last season in the minors.

At this time, neither Robertson nor Bourque has re-signed with the team. The players can still hear offers from the Stars and other teams until they accept an offer, but Dallas would now have the right to match an offer sheet. If the Stars decline to match, they would receive draft-pick compensation depending on the value of the offer sheet.

Both Bourque and Robertson are top offer sheet candidates. For the type of deal Robertson would be offered, which would likely be above $12 million AAV, the Stars would receive four first-round picks in return. A team could give Bourque an offer sheet between $2.3 million and $4.7 million annually, and if the Stars chose not to match, they would only receive a second-round pick in return.

Stars GM Jim Nill said Saturday that he is still actively working to re-sign both Bourque and Robertson and that his preference is for both to remain in Dallas next year. However, the GM did confirm he had a trade lined up for Robertson with Seattle where the return would’ve included Seattle’s first-round pick in last weekend’s draft. Robertson ultimately nixed the deal because he didn’t want to sign with Seattle, even though the Kraken were offering him an eight-year deal worth upward of $15 million annually.

A qualifying offer cannot be accepted before July 1.

The Dallas Stars have made qualifying offers to a handful of restricted free agents ahead free agency on…

[5117
301,196,147,5278,5,4,197,61222,61319
post-610518","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-dallas-stars","tag-article","tag-dallas","tag-dallas-stars","tag-dallasstars","tag-hockey","tag-nhl","tag-stars","tag-tp-jason-robertson","tag-tp-jim-nill
["GET
