(WGR Sports Radio 550) &#8211; The Buffalo Sabres continue to add organizational depth this offseason, signing goalie Matt Villalta to a one-year, two-way contract on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Villalta has spent the last three seasons as part of the Arizona Coyotes\/Utah Mammoth organization, appearing in three NHL games and registering a 1-1-0 record, a 3.64 goals-against average and an .867.<\/p>\n<p>In his seven years spent playing in the minors with the Ontario Reign (Los Angeles Kings) and Tuscon Roadrunners (Coyotes\/Mammoth), the 27-year-old has amassed a career 123-83-24 record with a 2.93 goals-against average and a .903 save percentage. <\/p>\n<p>The 6-foot-4, 190-pound netminder was a third-round pick (72md overall) of the Kings in the 2017 NHL Draft.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Buffalo, N.Y.
