The Vegas Golden Knights tonight signed defenseman Lukas Cormier to a one-year, two-way contract. It\u2019s an $850,000 NHL deal and a $225,000 AHL deal with $275,000 guaranteed. He appeared in 49 games with Henderson last season, recording 47 points on eight goals and 39 assists. He was a plus-two with five power-play goals. In six Calder Cup Playoff games, he had five points on two goals and three assists. He was even in plus\/minus and had a power-play goal.<\/p>\n

The Golden Knights drafted Cormier 68th overall in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. Before joining the Golden Knights organization, he spent four seasons with the Charlottestown Islanders in the QMJHL. In 208 games, he had 207 points on 70 goals and 137 assists; he was a +111. He appeared in seven games for Team Canada in the World Juniors in 2021-22, scoring a goal and adding four assists; he was a plus-two. He\u2019s appeared in two games for the Golden Knights, recording an assist and is a plus-one. In four seasons with Henderson, he\u2019s appeared in 188 games, recording 111 points on 22 goals and 89 assists. He\u2019s a -49 with ten power-play goals and a game-winning goal.<\/p>\n
