New signing to announce within the Montreal Canadiens organization.<\/p>\n

The Trois-Rivi\u00e8res Lions have just added a familiar face.<\/p>\n

Forward Mathieu Bizier is back for the 2026-27 season with the Montreal Canadiens’ ECHL affiliate!<\/p>\n

They confirmed the agreement in the past few hours. A signing that rewards an impressive finish to the season in Trois-Rivi\u00e8res!<\/p>\n

Bizier joined the Lions on March 3.<\/p>\n

The left-shot centerman wasted no time making an impact, recording at least one point in each of his first five games.<\/p>\n

In total, the forward produced 7 goals and 8 assists (15 points) in 21 games.<\/p>\n

The Lions shared the good news:<\/p>\n

“The Trois-Rivi\u00e8res Lions announce the return of Mathieu Bizier!<\/p>\n

After joining the Lions last March, the power forward wasted no time making an impact, recording 15 points in 21 games!<\/p>\n

Welcome back, Biz!”<\/p>\n

Mathieu Bizier returns to the Montreal Canadiens organization<\/p>\n

He has an impressive journey.<\/p>\n

Before breaking into the professional ranks, the L\u00e9vis native excelled at the university level.<\/p>\n

Over four seasons with the Concordia Stingers, he totaled 99 points in 103 games.<\/p>\n

Bizier won a gold medal at the Winter Universiade and was named Student-Athlete of the Year twice.<\/p>\n

His junior career was also impressive.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-1 forward recorded 184 points in 289 QMJHL games.<\/p>\n

He notably served as an assistant captain for two seasons with the Gatineau Olympiques.<\/p>\n

A leadership role that says a lot about his character.<\/p>\n

The player himself did not hide his excitement about returning.<\/p>\n

“I am very happy to be returning to the Lions for next season!”<\/p>\n

He continued with the same enthusiasm.<\/p>\n

“I had a great time joining the team at the end of last season, and I am very excited to see our team in action in 2026-27!”<\/p>\n

Bizier will be reunited with a former teammate.<\/p>\n

\u00c9douard Charron spent the past four seasons with him at Concordia.<\/p>\n

The signing joins those of Anthony Beauregard, Mathias Laferri\u00e8re, Landon Fuller, Jake Gravelle, and Christopher Inniss, who have also signed agreements for the upcoming season.<\/p>\n
