{"id":628867,"date":"2026-07-22T22:06:22","date_gmt":"2026-07-22T22:06:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/628867\/"},"modified":"2026-07-22T22:06:22","modified_gmt":"2026-07-22T22:06:22","slug":"winnipeg-jets-poke-fun-at-miami-heat-youtube-blunder-as-lebron-free-agency-continues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/628867\/","title":{"rendered":"Winnipeg Jets poke fun at Miami Heat YouTube blunder as LeBron free agency continues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Winnipeg Jets keep the heat up on Miami\u2019s Lebron James slip up.<\/p>\n<p>With Lebron free agency rumors still circling, the Heat accidentally uploaded a page titled \u201cLeBron James Introductory Press Conference\u201d to their YouTube.<\/p>\n<p>The post was scheduled for July 27 and was quickly taken down, but NBA fans pounced on the blunder and it was soon viral.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:0.82167353;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"40059576\" width=\"485\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Screenshot-2026-07-22-at-2.34.21-PM.png\" alt=\"LeBron James wearing a Winnipeg Jets hockey jersey.\" class=\"wp-image-40059576\"  \/>The Winnipeg Jets poked fun at the Miami Heat accidental YouTube post on X.  @NHLJets\/YouTube<\/p>\n<p>The Heat have since <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/07\/22\/sports\/did-heats-youtube-account-spoil-lebrons-free-agency-decision\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">said the upload was a mistake<\/a>, and they were only preparing for a potential reunion with James, but it nonetheless changed the odds of his landing spot.<\/p>\n<p>The Jets responded to the debacle with an <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NHLJets\/status\/2079933345677631798\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">X post that read<\/a> \u201cThe Winnipeg Jets\u2019s official YouTube channel has LeBron\u2019s introductory press conference scheduled for July 27.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The caption was accompanied with a link to a real scheduled live stream from the Jets main YouTube account titled \u201cLeBron James Introductory Press Conference.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The thumbnail included a photoshop of James in a Jets jersey as well as an all caps note in the middle of the screen that read \u201cDON\u2019T UPLOAD THIS YET!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Jets also tagged NBACentel, an infamous NBA news parody account known for jokingly breaking fake news.<\/p>\n<p>The post is on par with the Jets social media which is known for being unserious. Recently they have made posts about a spineless raccoon, the New York Jets new uniforms, and meatballs.<\/p>\n<p>As for if James will join the heat, that is still to be seen.<\/p>\n<p>However, ESPN\u2019s Kendrick Perkins said on \u201cGet Up\u201d that the Heat\u2019s YouTube leak is \u201csomething.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:0.75;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"40059609\" width=\"443\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/day-2-new-york-usa-134743419.jpg\" alt=\"LeBron James wearing a striped hat and sunglasses, a denim jacket, and a gold chain.\" class=\"wp-image-40059609\"  \/>LeBron James wearing a striped hat and sunglasses at Fanatics Fest.  Ryan Rolo\/Shutterstock<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis wasn\u2019t leaked by accident, those things don\u2019t happen under Pat Riley\u2019s watch,\u201d Perkins said. \u201cThis means that Miami is really in the hunt. LeBron could possibly end up back in South Beach.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll of us across the world have become investigators. But this is the first real big clue that we\u2019ve been able to see from an organization that LeBron James has interest in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>NFL reporter Adam Schefter also said on Monday he thinks there is a real chance James ends up back in South Beach.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhere there\u2019s smoke, there\u2019s fire,\u201d he said on an appearance on Philadelphia sports radio station, 97.5 The Fanatic, citing a text with a Miami source. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Winnipeg Jets keep the heat up on Miami\u2019s Lebron James slip up.
