{"id":629658,"date":"2026-07-23T22:36:33","date_gmt":"2026-07-23T22:36:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/629658\/"},"modified":"2026-07-23T22:36:33","modified_gmt":"2026-07-23T22:36:33","slug":"rays-release-office-school-renderings-for-park-district","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/629658\/","title":{"rendered":"Rays release office, school renderings for park district"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TAMPA \u2014 The Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday released illustrations of a planned mixed-use development that includes a new stadium for the team.<\/p>\n<p>The latest renderings focused on office space and what officals call a &#8220;reimagined&#8221; Hillsborough College campus.<\/p>\n<p>Rays Chief Executive Officer Ken Babby said the project has attracted early interest from Fortune 500 companies here and elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have said from the start that this project is about much more than baseball and a new ballpark,\u201d Babby said. &#8220;The proposed privately financed district that will be made possible by a new ballpark is attracting interest and gaining significant momentum. It has sparked an appetite among Fortune 500 companies from beyond Tampa Bay who want to be part of a game-changing vision, and we\u2019ve also had meaningful conversations with businesses based here who want to learn more and be among the first to call the district their home.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/0723_bn9_rays_business_rendering_1.jpeg\" alt=\"Rendering provided by Tampa Bay Rays\" class=\"hashed-image image\" img-data-alignment=\"center\" img-data-width=\"percent-hundred\" loading=\"lazy\" img-data-caption=\"Rendering provided by Tampa Bay Rays\" img-data-wrap-text=\"true\" img-data-editing=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Rendering provided by Tampa Bay Rays<\/p>\n<p>The planned 100-plus-acre mixed-use development will encompass more than 8 million square feet of mixed-use space organized around four distinctive districts: Champions Quarter, Innovation Edge (featuring a reimagined Hillsborough College campus), The Canopy, and The Row.
