It\u2019s official, folks \u2013 next season\u2019s NHL Trade Deadline is set<\/a> for Monday, March 1st, 2027. That night, the Carolina Hurricanes will be in Ohio, facing the Columbus Blue Jackets at 7:00 PM ET.<\/p>\n

Personally, I think it worked best on Fridays \u2013 but I\u2019m just thankful that the Hurricanes won\u2019t be on another Western Conference road trip, starting the first half of a back-to-back, like they were last time!<\/p>\n

Tracking the Stanley Cup<\/p>\n

The Stanley Cup has officially arrived in Finland. Saturday, Sebastian Aho spent his day with Lord Stanley, brandishing a wicked awesome Stanley Cup jacket and partying on stage<\/a> with Finnish rap duo JVG during Finland\u2019s Qstock Festival.<\/p>\n

It appears that the next player up for his day with the Cup is Jesperi Kotkaniemi, who is expected to be in possession of it Monday, as previously reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jaccob Slavin to Use Stanley Cup Day to Raise Awareness in Friend\u2019s Memory<\/p>\n

August 22, Jaccob Slavin will have his day with the cup, but there will be a lot of meaning behind it. Saturday, Triangle Sports Network published a story detailing Slavin\u2019s partnership with the Grayson Murray Foundation, whose mission is to raise awareness, and fund research, in regard to mental health and addiction. With this collaboration, whoever has the winning bid will get the opportunity to have photos with the Stanley Cup and meet the Hurricanes\u2019 alternate captain and his family.<\/p>\n

Grayson Murray, the namesake of the foundation, was a professional golfer and avid Caniac. Prior to his passing, Murray and Slavin had become friends, bonding over hockey and their shared faith in Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n
