Olczyk said that the Kraken have \u201cknown for a while he was considering a change, one that would simplify his job and his life.\u201d Shefte wrote his departure is the \u201conly planned change\u201d to the KHN group. JT Brown is \u201cset to become the main color analyst again,\u201d alongside play-by-play announcer John Forslund. That was the arrangement during the Kraken\u2019s inaugural season before Olczyk arrived. When Olczyk was available, they made up a three-man booth. In addition to his KHN games, Olczyk juggled national broadcast responsibilities and \u201cwill continue working TNT games.\u201d But he has \u201cno plans to add another local gig.\u201d Olczyk said, \u201cIf the phone rings, I listen. But if not, hey, I\u2019m good.\u201d Olczyk joined the\u202fKraken\u202fin September 2022 and \u201clived part-time\u201d in Bellevue, Wash. His wife and three of their kids \u201clive in the Chicago area.\u201d Olczyk worked alongside his son Nick Olczyk in Seattle before Nick became a TV analyst for the Mammoth in 2024.
