{"id":639049,"date":"2026-08-08T03:12:17","date_gmt":"2026-08-08T03:12:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/639049\/"},"modified":"2026-08-08T03:12:17","modified_gmt":"2026-08-08T03:12:17","slug":"canucks-vs-kraken-prospects-showcase-schedule-announced-for-abbotsford-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/639049\/","title":{"rendered":"Canucks vs. Kraken Prospects Showcase schedule announced for Abbotsford"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>              Canucks vs. Kraken Prospects Showcase schedule announced for Abbotsford<\/p>\n<p class=\"pubStamp\">Published 1:33 pm Friday, August 7, 2026<\/p>\n<p class=\"author\">\n                    By Ben Lypka\/Abbotsford News\n                                      <\/p>\n<p>The Vancouver Canucks have announced dates and times for the Prospects Showcase weekend, which is set for Abbotsford\u2019s Rogers Forum on Saturday Sept. 12 and Sunday, Sept. 13.<\/p>\n<p>The pair of games showcase the top young players for each franchise and face-off is set for 4 p.m. on Sept. 12 and 1 p.m. on Sept. 13.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/abbynews.com\/2025\/01\/07\/nhl-prospect-showcase-announced-for-abbotsford-in-2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Plans for this game were initially announced back in early-2025<\/a>, with last year\u2019s games featuring the teams playing in Everett, Wash. and Seattle. It\u2019s possible this multi-year agreement between the Canucks and Kraken could continue after this year, but the original announcement was for just two years.<\/p>\n<p>Shipping up to Abbotsford \ud83d\ude8c<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll square off against the <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Canucks?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\">@Canucks<\/a> prospects in a two-game <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NHL?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\">@NHL<\/a> Prospects Showcase series in Abbotsford, BC, on September 12 &amp; 13! \u2192 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/DS1UERIXTl\" rel=\"nofollow\">https:\/\/t.co\/DS1UERIXTl<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/xrty1vLvG6\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/xrty1vLvG6<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Seattle Kraken (@SeattleKraken) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SeattleKraken\/status\/2085818420688453990?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\">August 7, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Last year saw Seattle defeat Vancouver 5-3 in Everett on Sept. 13, 2025 and Vancouver winning 3-2 in Seattle on Sept. 14, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The Prospects Showcase event signalled the end of the Penticton Young Stars Tournament, which had run at the South Okanagan Events Centre starting in 2010 and saw the Canucks play the other western Canadian NHL teams.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets go on sale for the Prospects Showcase for Abbotsford and Vancouver season ticket members starting Friday (Aug. 7) at 1 p.m. General public on-sale begins Monday (Aug. 10) at 10:00 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>The Vancouver Canucks announced today the schedule for the 2026 Prospects Showcase, taking place at Rogers Forum in Abbotsford, BC on September 12 and 13.<\/p>\n<p>DETAILS | <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/G8aL4uTr9B\" rel=\"nofollow\">https:\/\/t.co\/G8aL4uTr9B<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/W8antWkzg3\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/W8antWkzg3<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Vancouver Canucks (@Canucks) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Canucks\/status\/2085818349510930628?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\">August 7, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A full roster and practice schedule for both teams will be announced in the coming weeks. <\/p>\n<p>Seattle and Vancouver also meet for a pair of preseason games on Sept. 19 and Sept. 26. The two teams open the regular season series against each other when Vancouver travels to Seattle on Nov. 19.
