(ABC 6 Sports) \u2014 Former Austin Bruins forward Sutter Muzzatti has signed a two-year entry-level deal with the Detroit Red Wings, according to the team. The Austin Bruins said Muzzatti signed after the Red Wings acquired him from the Nashville Predators for future considerations. <\/p>\n
The former Bruins forward played the 2025-26 season at the University of Notre Dame. Muzzatti had 13 goals, 19 assists and 32 points in 37 games for Notre Dame, according to the release. The release said those totals ranked second on the team, and he added three power-play goals, one shorthanded goal and a 13.5 shooting % on 96 shots. What comes next? The 23-year-old transferred to Notre Dame after three seasons at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. <\/p>\n
From 2022-25, he posted 50 points and 129 penalty minutes in 78 games and was drafted by Nashville in the fifth round at No. 143 overall in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. Muzzatti spent two seasons with the Bruins from 2020-22 in Spam Town. In 80 career games there, he had 59 points and led the team with 46 points and 34 assists in the 2021-22 season.<\/p>\n
