{"id":648866,"date":"2026-08-25T02:42:36","date_gmt":"2026-08-25T02:42:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/648866\/"},"modified":"2026-08-25T02:42:36","modified_gmt":"2026-08-25T02:42:36","slug":"mackinnon-remains-no-2-among-nhl-networks-top-centers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/648866\/","title":{"rendered":"MacKinnon Remains No. 2 Among NHL Network&#8217;s Top Centers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nathan MacKinnon remained No. 2 on NHL Network\u2019s annual list of the league\u2019s top centers, with the Colorado Avalanche superstar holding the same spot he occupied a year ago.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As was the case last year, the only center ranked ahead of MacKinnon was Edmonton Oilers superstar Connor McDavid.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There was plenty of movement behind the top two, however. San Jose Sharks\u2019 young phenom Macklin Celebrini made a major jump to No. 3 after being ranked No. 19 last year. That pushed Leon Draisaitl down to No. 4 and Aleksander Barkov to No. 5.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the first time, Sidney Crosby fell outside the top five, while four players who were unranked on last year\u2019s list cracked the top 20 this time around.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MacKinnon is coming another magnificent season. The 30-year-old recorded a career high in goals (53), while finishing with 126 points.
