{"id":654359,"date":"2026-09-02T19:57:13","date_gmt":"2026-09-02T19:57:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/654359\/"},"modified":"2026-09-02T19:57:13","modified_gmt":"2026-09-02T19:57:13","slug":"amazon-prime-video-to-broadcast-games-locally-for-columbus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/654359\/","title":{"rendered":"Amazon Prime Video to broadcast games locally for Columbus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NEW YORK \u2014 Amazon\u2019s Prime Video will be the exclusive local streaming home of six NHL teams this season as part of a multiyear agreement announced by the league Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/carolina-hurricanes-stanley-cup-08c589854d1cd24d60828e94db379909\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Defending Stanley Cup champion<\/a> Carolina, Anaheim, Columbus, Dallas, Minnesota and St. Louis will have their games on the platform in their markets. That includes pre- and post-game coverage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re excited to build upon our strong relationship with the NHL and provide fans with more ways to connect with the local teams they love,\u201d Prime Video head of sports partnerships Charlie Neiman said in a statement. \u201cWe have firmly established Prime Video as a primary destination for sports and look forward to helping these teams broaden the reach and accessibility of their live games.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The NHL announced in July <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/nhl-tv-hurricanes-blue-jackets-blues-wild-e007ae1add2e715869dae204f5c4a33a\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">it would be producing games<\/a> for the Hurricanes, Blue Jackets, Wild and Blues.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFans want an easy way to find and follow their favorite teams, and this agreement with Prime Video gives clubs the flexibility to meet that demand as the market evolves,\u201d NHL chief media officer and senior executive VP David Proper said. \u201cAmazon has been a terrific partner to the NHL, and we\u2019re excited to expand our relationship as Prime Video grows its NHL offerings.
