NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Rangers agreed to terms with winger Eeli Tolvanen on a one-year, $1.5 million contract, the team announced Wednesday.

The Rangers and Tolvanen reached the deal with a little more than two weeks before the start of training camp.

Tolvanen is coming off a 36-point season with Seattle, skating in 78 of 82 games. He set career highs with 23 goals in 2024-25 and 41 points in ’23-24.

Tolvanen figures to slot in on New York’s second or third line. The 27-year-old Finn is joining his third organization after being drafted by Nashville in 2017 and getting claimed off waivers by the Kraken in 2022.

[5130
58746,5947,4154,30435,5,6,4188,33031,2218,2206,71321,231,71320,54276,54275,285,4585,1355,35,4,2686,234,22387,22379,5318,71322,5938,1353,1356
post-655139","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-seattle-kraken","tag-cablevision","tag-eastern-conference-nhl","tag-eeli-tolvanen","tag-english-men","tag-hockey","tag-ice-hockey","tag-kraken","tag-madison-square-garden-sports","tag-metropolitan-division","tag-milwaukee-admirals","tag-milwaukee-admirals-players","tag-nashville-predators","tag-nashville-predators-draft-picks","tag-nashville-predators-personnel","tag-nashville-predators-players","tag-national-hockey-league","tag-national-hockey-league-divisions","tag-national-hockey-league-teams","tag-new-york-rangers","tag-nhl","tag-seattle","tag-seattle-kraken","tag-seattle-kraken-personnel","tag-seattle-kraken-players","tag-seattlekraken","tag-sioux-city-musketeers-players","tag-sports-holding-companies-of-the-united-states","tag-top-level-sports-leagues","tag-top-tier-ice-hockey-leagues
["GET
