Rogers Communications and Quebecor have announced a new 12-year sub-licensing agreement for the French-language broadcast rights for national NHL games, starting with the 2026-27 season.<\/p>\n
TVA Sports and TVA Sports Direct will distribute all games covered by the new agreement, as the league\u2019s official French-language broadcast partner, with the illico+ streaming platform joining the broadcast ecosystem.<\/p>\n
Quebecor will hold French broadcasting rights for up to 350 regular season NHL games per season, including 32 Montr\u00e9al Canadiens regular-season and all Canadiens playoff games \u2013 10 more regular-season Montr\u00e9al games than under the previous agreement. The new rights deal \u2013 which builds on a partnership that began in 2014 \u2013 also encompasses six of the eight First Round series of the Stanley Cup Playoffs; three of the four Second Round series; the Conference Finals and Stanley Cup Final; as well as all NHL tentpole events.<\/p>\n
