Buffalo Sabres star Jack Quinn projected to land an $8 million annual contract

As the Buffalo Sabres had an impressive campaign a year ago, the club is entering the 2026-27 season with high hopes. While Alex Tuch and Bowen Byram are now gone, Sabres general manager Jarmo Kekäläinen has added some quality pieces to his roster, and the new rising star is Jack Quinn. As per reports, he is expected to sign a multi-year contract worth approximately $8 million annually. Reports suggest Quinn was selected eighth overall by Buffalo in the 2020 NHL Draft and recorded career highs across the board last season.According to the NHL, Jack Quinn appeared in all 82 regular-season games and finished with 20 goals, 31 assists, and 51 points. He also added seven points in 13 playoff games. Buffalo previously rewarded the forward with a two-year, 3.37 million AAV contract in 2025. As a result, he will be a restricted free agent after the current campaign. As per Fairburn’s prediction, “If Quinn can improve on his 20-goal season from last 2025-26, his next salary could be in the $8 million range.”He further added, “I think Quinn can be a key player for the Sabres this season. I also think this contract situation is tricky enough to drag out into the summer. Jarmo Kekäläinen has shown he won’t hesitate to extend contracts any time of year once he feels a player is part of Buffalo’s core. It’s not yet clear if Quinn fits that description.”Buffalo previously rewarded the forward with a two-year, $6.75 million ($3.37 million AAV) contract in 2025. As a result, he will be a restricted free agent after the current campaign. But speculation suggests that the Buffalo Sabres could reward Quinn with a substantial raise.Meanwhile, the Buffalo Sabres are preparing for their upcoming game, as they start their 2026-27 campaign against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday, October 1.

Jack Quinn is expected to command a multi-year contract worth approximately $8 million annually (Image via NHL) Buffalo…

[5100
31060,1107,229,5139,5133,5,72969,72970,4,546,7173,1108
post-675372","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-buffalo-sabres","tag-2026-27-nhl-season","tag-buffalo","tag-buffalo-sabres","tag-buffalo-sabres-news","tag-buffalosabres","tag-hockey","tag-jack-quinn-contract","tag-jack-quinn-salary-projection","tag-nhl","tag-nhl-trade-rumors","tag-restricted-free-agent","tag-sabres
["GET
